Alveston Pastures Farm is three miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside set well back off the road in a peaceful setting.

During your stay on the farm, our visitors are free to wander in the surrounding countryside around the cottages. If you wish to enjoy our formal gardens and the maze simply speak to Marion who will be happy to make the arrangement.

The living room has double patio doors leading to a terrace looking out on to open fields.

A galley kitchen to the side is separated by an ash breakfast bar.

The 18th century Coach House has a double bedroom with bath and shower.

The Coach House is an ideal setting for a romantic break, with its oak beams it is full of character.

As you can see from the patio shot how you can enjoy the delights of the Warwickshire countryside.

After a hard days sightseeing it is the perfect place to put your feet up and chill out.

There are numerous restaurants, bistros and inns within Stratford-upon-Avon. Locally we have the delightful Barasett Barn restaurant is nearby and The Fox at Loxley is our local pub with a good range of real ales.

Just a few minutes drive away in the centre of Stratford you will find plenty of choice of restaurants, cafes and bistros, close to the theatre, numerous restaurants, where you can stroll and browse the menus and choose where to eat.

If all you want to do after a strenuous day of sightseeing or walking is to relax in your room and not have to turn out again the catering facilities in each of the cottages are sufficient to allow you to entertain yourselves.

We can advise on nearby supermarkets or grocery shopping stores nearby.

From Stratford-upon-Avon: follow signs to Wellesbourne. After crossing the River Avon turn left towards Wellesbourne, then take the first right towards Loxley. The entrance to Alveston Pastures Farm is on the right 2 miles after the junction.

From the M40: follow the signs to Stow on the Wold. You will come to a series of roundabouts at Wellesbourne (which bypass the village). At the 3rd roundabout follow the signs to Loxley. Carry on through Loxley (church on right - do not turn into village but continue on) and after 1 mile the entrance to Aveston Pastures Farm is on the left.

Stratford-upon-Avon is the centre of the Shakespeare world. Set on the banks of the tranquil River Avon the Royal Shakespeare Theatre overlooks the river, the public gardens and is next to the shopping area. There are five Shakespeare houses dating back to the 1500's which have all been maintained beautifully and are open to the public. Stratford is quite a small town with the centre being compact and easily walkable. William Shakespeare's old scholl is still operated as King Edwards Grammar School for boys and you can see Will's old classroom. Also in Stratford is the home of John Harvard, the founder of Harvard University in the USA.

Six miles to the south of us is the start of the Cotswolds. No matter what your leisure interest, there really is something for everyone in the area. For garden lovers, starting in Chipping Campden is the Ernest Wilson Memorial Garden or just a short drive away you will find the world famous Hidcote Manor Gardens(NT), privately owned Kiftsgate Garden and many more. For history lovers, the historic Warwick Castle, Worcester with its stunning cathedral, Winchcombe & Sudeley Castle, last resting place of Katherine Parr. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists or you may just wish to relax and take a picnic with you and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful part of England.
